Building Update 03.18.25
Dear Church Family,
We are so excited about the progress toward our new building and want to share an update with you. We’re getting closer to breaking ground, but we’ve encountered a small hurdle that we want to keep you informed about.
Where We Are Now
Sewer installation hit a snag due to the irrigation district requiring a road relocation on the partnering developer’s property, (where we are pulling sewer from) impacting the timeline for us getting the sewer we need. Until resolved, we’re in a holding pattern for sewer access and, in turn, building permits. The good news: the City of Meridian is allowing us to continue the permitting process. Once the partnering developer, City of Meridian, and ACHD finalize the road and sewer design and approval, we’ll be ready to move forward.
What’s the Timeline?
The actual timeline depends on when the developer, ACHD, and the City of Meridian finalize the road and sewer placement on the other property. We know this won’t happen in March or April and possibly not May. We are praying for May or June, but ultimately, it depends on when these approvals are completed.

- Building Permitting – The city is actively working on our permits.
- Ordering Materials – We have already started purchasing key materials.
- Land Preparation Possibility – We may be able to prepare the land for the building pad and utilities before pulling final permits, helping us stay as close as possible to our hopeful timeline of moving into the building.
A Major Blessing!
- Steel has already been ordered! We locked in pricing before recent inflation and tariff prices increase, saving at least $200,000 (likely more).
- Lower-than-expected costs! Several contractor and city service bids came in lower than anticipated, saving at least $400,000 from our proposed budget.
- By July, we expect to see steel beams on the property—what an exciting milestone that will be!
How You Can Pray
- Pray for the developer, ACHD, and the City of Meridian to move through the sewer approval process quickly, so we can start construction on our building as soon as possible.
- Pray for continued funding and financial provision as we prepare for this next phase.
- Pray that we, as a church, remember that the building is an amazing tool—but it is just a tool. We, the people, are the church, and no matter where we gather, we will continue to be on mission: “To love all people and help them find and follow Jesus.”
