Dominican Republic

Description:
In March of 2025 attendees of Stonehill will travel to San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. We will be partnering with Teach Beyond and will encourage and serve students and teachers at Arbor Christian Academy, a K-6 Christian public school that serves primarily underprivileged families. We will also share the gospel through mini VBS lessons at a nearby Haitian community in the DR. There will be opportunities to meet with families and just talk with them so they can practice their English speaking skills. We will also share evening meals in the homes of Dominicans as we strive to understand and appreciate Dominican culture.

TeachBeyond operates in the Dominican Republic to transform education and share the gospel. Through programs like Arbor Christian Academy, a bilingual school serving over 100 students from Kindergarten to 6th grade, and Descubre Inglés, a community English program, they integrate faith into learning. TeachBeyond provides quality education while intentionally sharing Christ's love, fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth to impact lives and communities for the Kingdom.

Description:
This trip will provide opportunities to serve and show the love of Christ to the MANNA children in nutrition centers and through outreach projects in Panama. Participants will engage in various activities, including work projects, a potential VBS program, and other opportunities to serve and bless the people of Panama.
Who is Manna?
MANNA Worldwide, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is a non-profit dedicated to rescuing children from poverty. Operating in nearly 50 countries, it runs orphanages, nutrition centers, schools, medical clinics, and clean water projects. MANNA focuses on physical and spiritual development, transforming communities by addressing immediate needs and fostering long-term growth.
